When home hospice care is no longer an option.

The new Cedars Hospice Center was constructed to create a calming and peaceful setting to deliver hospice care to patients whose medical needs no longer allow them to receive care in their homes. The Cedars Hospice Center was designed with the medical, physical, spiritual and social needs of patients and their families in mind.

A two-story water feature is prominently located in the center’s main entrance area to set a calming and peaceful mood, around which family lounges, media rooms, a children’s play room and a non-denominational chapel are situated to provide a number of spaces for privacy, visiting and reflection. Our spa is open to patients and family members and is equipped with a therapeutic whirlpool tub, a massage area and sauna.

Going Green

In keeping with our holistic and respectful approach to life, the Cedars Hospice Center was constructed with energy conserving and sustainable materials and technologies throughout, from bamboo floors to reflective tile roofing. Modeled in design from a Cedar Tree, the three-story, 25,250 square foot facility is the first green-certified building in Monroeville.

The center’s beautifully landscaped grounds and gardens can be viewed from the large windows and walk-out balconies in each of our 16 oversized patient rooms that include in-room overnight sleeping accommodations for loved ones. Private rooms for family members are also available. And to help families feel more at home, the center provides families access to two kitchen and dining areas where they can share meals together, including specially-prepared dishes from home.

We’re here to help families cherish their time together. If your loved one can no longer be cared for at home, Cedars Hospice Center can provide the care and support your entire family needs. Please call us at 412-380-9550.

We’re here to help.
