Nature's healing properties are part of the process at Cedars Community Hopsice.
Surrounding the newly constructed Cedars Hospice Center, lies an area accessible to families of Cedars hospice patients which promotes healing as each family goes through the end of life process with their loved one, and then through a period of bereavement. This area consists of a combination mini-apiary and permaculture site that has been designed to provide a place for families to sit in and connect with the wholeness of our planet. The emotional, mental and spiritual connection to the biodiversity offered by plant, bee, butterfly and bird life helps to heal the grief of loss.
Please call us if you or your loved one is considering, or needs, hospice care. We are here to help.
Wholistic Awareness Center
Cedars offers serveral opportunities to learn more about our project at our Wholistic Awareness Center, located on the 3rd floor of the Cedars Hospice Center. The bee population and native species forest habitat surrounding the center is being preserved in a way that makes this area self-sustaining. Because the Cedars Community Hospice is a 501(c)(3) organization, this area is also a real time onsite laboratory open by appointment for the education of the public, including college, high school and grade school students, land developers and hobbyists.
